Also, the BBS is now much more mobile-friendly and will render properly on a smartphone or tablet.

Well... it'd be easier to answer the question if you could tell us what your budget range is first... An iPad can be had for anywhere between $399 to $829, dependent on model. But don't count on it being a replacement for a computer...
