Unfortunately, Clover passed away yesterday. We don't know why. A doctor will be performing a necropsy today to determine the cause.

All we know is that yesterday morning she seemed fine and was sleeping. She had moved from her original sleeping position between 9am and 1pm. At 1pm she was breathing. At 3pm she was not breeding and was cold. Candi was able to resuscitate her and we rushed her to the Orchard Park Veterinary Medical Center. She had a faint heartbeat and labored breathing. They put her in an incubator and gave her oxygen. An hour later, she passed away.

We will know more today.

breathing. I wrote it at 7am in my lab after only a few hours of sleep. My eyes were open, but the brain was still asleep.

Clover had bleeding ulcers.

As Candi had put it:
At least she was able to enjoy a home with someone who loved her for a several days then having to suffer in a pet store.

I will have to see what my friend in NYC says was the reason for his kitten dying .... was a similar situation .... and another friend had their child pass too ... It's like infant mortality is on the rise across species ... if so ... it bodes not well.

We got a new hedgehog after Clover passed away. Her name is Hazel. I sent pictures to some people and this is what my brother sends back:

He played a little too much Sonic when he was younger.....
